The Electronic Security Install Apprentice is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to launch a hands-on career in physical electronic security. Working directly under the mentorship of experienced Lead Technicians and Project Managers, you will assist in the rough-in, mounting, cabling, and basic setup of integrated security systems across commercial and enterprise client sites

• Assist lead technicians with pulling low-voltage cabling, mounting hardware, and installing peripheral security devices (cameras, card readers, door contacts, motion sensors).
• Learn to read and interpret basic floor plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Support device termination, labeling, testing, and cable management in panels and equipment racks.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites in accordance with company safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist in tracking tools, hardware inventory, and daily site materials.
• Document daily tasks and communicate progress or challenges to the Lead Technician.
• Complete assigned manufacturer, safety, and hands-on technical training modules.

• High school diploma, GED, or completion of a vocational/technical program in electronics, electrical trades, low-voltage cabling, telecommunications, or a related field.
• 0–1 year of hands-on experience; light experience with basic hand/power tools and low-voltage wiring is a strong plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn physical electronic security systems (access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion detection).
• Basic computer literacy (familiarity with Microsoft Office or mobile reporting apps).
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to follow safety guidelines and detailed technical instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented field environment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
