The Licensing and Compliance Manager oversees all aspects of state and local licensing for ourcompany, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This includes managing the process of obtaining, maintaining, and renewing licenses. This role typically involves understanding stateand local contractor licensing laws and regulations, developing and implementing licensing policies, and managing the overall licensing roadmap for the organization. An ideal candidate for this position would possess experience and understanding of performing international projects from a United States registered company. Responsibilities would include items such as visa applications, work permits, and complying with various trade agreements and regulations for performing projects in APAC, EMEA, or LATA regions daily with our Administrative, Legal, and Operations teams. The person in this role will be a strong, detailed, and process-driven professional.
• Preparation of reports for management regarding requirements for state and/or local
licensure.
• Track and record all company licenses for the localities where work is performed.
• Implement renewal calendars with reminders and escalations to ensure licensing is
always up to date.
• Work with regional team members to complete local licensing requirements.
• Prepare and submit required documentation for initial and renewal licensing.
• Maintain relationships with contractors in regions of operations.
• Record and update an internal contractor database to track licensing and insurance
requirements.
• Record and track required Continuing Education Credits to ensure compliance with
required annual renewal training.
• Stay up to date with changes to laws and regulations that impact areas of operation.
• Provide real-time application tracker showing current status of all licensing activities.
• Other tasks as required by the company.
• Five+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and
experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the
company.
• Proven experience with licensing and compliance for a US based national and/or
international organization, preferably construction oriented.
• Degree in International Business preferred but not required.
